Hi, I’m Alisia
Certified yoga teacher, sound healer, and Ayurveda wellness guide, and the founder of Awaken & Move.
Here to help you heal and move to your full potential.
With a background in international relations and human rights, I build spaces rooted in community, resistance, and the belief that healing yourself is an act of collective care. I guide soulful practices rooted in mindfulness, breathwork, and embodiment — an approach I call yoga for social activism: the practice of using self-study, service, self care, and community as tools not just for personal transformation, but for collective liberation.
Started in Washington D.C. and Baltimore through donation-based community classes, Awaken & Move is in Paris this summer — with Yoga au Parc, a free outdoor series bringing community, breath, and intention to the parks every Sunday morning. 🌿 Sundays stay free all summer; weekly classes start at €12, with a portion of proceeds going toward humanitarian causes at the end of the summer.
As this community grows, so does what I'm building alongside it. This summer, I'm creating private yoga + sound healing events, an Ayurveda Summer Guide and on-demand practices to deepen what we explore together in the park. Virtual classes are coming too, so you can flow with us no matter where you are.
And soon, all of it — classes, courses, community, and more — will live in one place: a membership space for those who want to go further with this practice, together.
This practice is built on three simple truths:
Self care is community care.
Healing yourself is an act of collective care. Every class is designed to hold both — your individual practice and the community you practice alongside.
Breath is consent.
You're invited to move at your own pace, honor your body's limits, and opt in fully — nothing here is forced. Breath is the link between your body and consciousness. With every breath, you are conscious to make a choice, and every choice is respected.
Yoga is embodied resistance.
Rest, movement, and presence are radical acts in a world that asks us to keep moving. In a world where attention is currency, designed for distraction, we disconnect and regulate our central nervous system. Practicing together is how we reclaim that power, side by side.
